This gluten free recipe is sooooo tasty. I can't tell you how mouthwatering this dessert is and I guarantee it will have you scraping the bowl and asking for more.
The balance of flavours is perfect. Thanks to Nigel Slater and his team - who introduced me to this dish (not personally I hasten to add....although I can always hope!) I now experiment using similar ingredients and have made some great tasting desserts!
Anyway - back to this recipe!
First things first - pick blackberries. I've two blackberry bushes which are laden with fruit at this time of year so I scooted over to them with colander in hand!
Next I laid out all the ingredients.
Ingredients (Makes for 2)
Handful of Blackberries
4 plums...very ripe
Mascarpone Cheese
Brandy
Sugar
Cut the plums in half and put them in a bowl. Make sure the plums are really ripe.
Put a heaped teaspoon of mascarpone on top of each plum
Sprinkle over the blackberries
Sprinkle 4 tsps of sugar over the fruit and cheese.
Pour over a couple of teaspoons of brandy
